Video News Production is a skilled and technical competition that involves four (4) students working together as a team to script and plan a three-minute newscast production. Because of its high demand on a state level, SkillsUSA Georgia works with our state technical chair to host a virtual competition to serve as a state qualifier. The top 16 teams that place in the Video News Production State Qualifier will advance to compete in-person at the SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership and Skills Conference in February.

Students must be registered SkillsUSA members

Students must be enrolled in an Audio Video Technology and Film course/pathway

Students must register to compete via SkillsUSA Register by the Dec. 2 deadline

Schools may only enter one (1) team of four (4) members to compete
